December 2025 - ECHNA PRESENTS THE DECEMBER YARD-OF-THE-MONTH AWARD

The Elizabeth City Historic Neighborhood Association named Rick and Kelly Boyd as the recipient of the December 2025 Yard-of-the Month award. The Boyd's home, also known as the historic "John A. Kramer House", is located at 313 West Main Street, and operates as the Pepperberry Inn. The purpose of the award is to draw attention to well-maintained historic homes and structures, especially their yards; and to recognize the efforts of the individuals and organizations who maintain them.

November 2025 - ECHNA INTRODUCES YARD-OF-THE-MONTH AWARD

The Elizabeth City Historic Neighborhood Association recently named Denise Marion as the recipient of its first Yard-of-the Month award. Marion’s home, also known as the historic Pendleton House, is located at 503 West Main Street. The purpose of the award is to draw attention to well-maintained historic homes and structures, especially their yards; and to recognize the efforts of the individuals and organizations who maintain them.

October 2025 - ECHNA'S MONTHLY LITTER PICKUP

ECHNA has "adopted" the Main Street Historic District and picks up litter on the second Saturday of every month.
